What Are You Waiting For?

SCRIPTURE TEXTS: Luke 24:44-53; Acts 1:1-11

With this message, we begin a new sermon series on the first fifteen chapters of the Book of Acts. In this Year of Proclamation, the Book of Acts provides us many compelling models for "Being a Witness to the Resurrection" (as we'll see in this first message) in order to fulfill our great commission from Christ for Proclaiming the Kingdom. Since the Book of Acts is essentially a second volume following upon the Gospel of Luke, we begin this series looking at the overlapping accounts in the last chapter of Luke & the first chapter of Acts of Jesus preparing the disciples for His Ascension to the Father and their mission to the world in anticipation of Christ's ultimate return.
