Praise Christian Fellowship (PCF) of Los Angeles is a local Foursquare church and as such we hold to the fundamental faiths of Christianity as summarized in the Foursquare statements of belief. As PCF-LA, we are a family of faith comprised of people saved by the Christ and empowered by the Spirit to fulfill the will of the Father as described in the Scriptures. As this family of faith, we commit ourselves personally and collectively to our Mission Statements and Collective Goals reflecting our core values.

Mission Statements

At PCF, we aim to follow the Great Command to love God and others (Matthew 22:36-40) and to fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20) as Jesus' Spirit-empowered witnesses to the world (Acts 1:8). In service to these aims, our mission is to:

1. LOVE AND ACCEPT YOU right where you are yet ever committed to where and how God wills to grow and transform you. Our love for you is born of God's love for you; therefore, we want to surround you with the sense of belonging affirmed by His tender mercies. 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.​

2. MEND AND RECOVER YOU from any points of hurt, distortion, fear, bondage, torment or imbalance so as to help one another grow from where we are now to who we are intended to be in Him. Ephesians 4:2 ...with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love...

3. TRAIN AND DISCIPLE YOU in the ways of God as revealed to us in the Bible so that you are better able to understand and obey the way Jesus has taught us to be. Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

4. SEND AND RELEASE YOU into the particular course of life and ministry service for which God has chosen and prepared you. The whole Body benefits when each part fulfills its particular role. Ephesians 4:12 ...for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ

It Started Like a Mustard Seed
​
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
Pastor Joe Danganan came from the Philippines to the USA simply following his faith and a call from God. In 1989, Pastor Joe and his wife Beth started the church in Los Angeles with only 12 members (6 of whom were the Danganan family itself). They gathered together every Sunday afternoon in a small place on Benton Way. In less than two years, the congregation more than quadrupled in size and moved to a larger facility on Bonnie Brae Street. By 1994, God had grown Praise Christian Fellowship even further and enabled the church to acquire the property on Beverly Boulevard at Roselake Avenue, where we still meet today.

Through God's grace and Pastor Joe & Sister Beth's faithfulness, the initial fellowship begun with a dozen people has now grown to hundreds of members in our home church in Los Angeles. Thousands more fellowship through sister churches planted around the world, a work which God continues to grow.
​
After 27 years of service, Pastor Joe Danganan retired from the pastorate of PCF-LA in December 2015, though he & Sister Beth continue to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world and with particular attention to the daughter church of Praise Christian Fellowship Orange County recently planted under his leadership. Beginning in January 2016, PCF-LA has been served by our current Senior Pastor Courtney Hall. After nearly twenty years of ministerial service & teaching at other local churches, Christian schools, and in the National Church Office of the Foursquare denomination, Pastor Court is delighted to have embraced the lead pastoring role here at PCF. Along with their two teen-aged children, Meg & Peter, Pastor Court & his wife Hazel sense with excitement the promise of the Lord for a fresh season of new spiritual growth and ongoing harvest through PCF in these days.

As a local member congregation of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, PCF-LA is a Foursquare church. The Foursquare Church believes that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King. We stand firm on the foundation set by Hebrews 13:8, which proclaims that "Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, & forever." Foursquare is a denomination dedicated to the fullness of the Gospel as described in the Scriptures and to the cause of international evangelism and interdenominational partnership. We affirm the reliability and authority of the Bible, the ongoing activity of the Holy Spirit, and the Lordship and promised return of Jesus Christ. At PCF-LA, we exist to serve God's kingdom and tend to His harvest of bringing souls into His salvation, believers into deeper discipleship, and the full Gospel into every corner of the world.​
