Fervor in the Spirit
February 22, 2026 at 6:00:00 PM
Acts 18:1-28 | In Acts chapter 18, the Apostle Paul's ministry in the city of Corinth introduces him to a married couple named Aquilla & Priscilla who would become pivotal partners in his missionary work. While Paul' begins his third missionary journey in this chapter, the couple in turn mentors a young believer named Apollos who had great "fervor in the Spirit" (Acts 18:25), fostering his growth into greater spiritual maturity. All these examples of mentorship remain major models for us as the church on mission today.

"What Baptism Did You Receive?"
March 1, 2026 at 6:00:00 PM
Acts 19:1-41 | In Acts chapter 19, the Apostle Paul's third missionary journey brought him to the city of Ephesus, where he encountered disciples who had not yet heard about the baptism in Jesus' Spirit. Bringing them into the fullness of the Spirit, Paul established what would become a key church center of early Christianity, where Paul ministered miraculously & also faced great opposition from a populace highly dedicated to pagan idolatry. Yet the Spirit of God triumphed over those opposing spirits of darkness, as He still does today for those who rely on Him.
Our Only Aim
March 8, 2026 at 5:00:00 PM
Acts 20:1-38 | In Acts chapter 20, the Apostle Paul comes to the end of his third missionary journey in miraculous fashion, also making a moving farewell message to the leaders of the church he founded in Ephesus. Paul makes plain the mission statement of his life--and every disciple's call--in Acts 20:24: "My only aim is to finish the race & complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me...of testifying to the Good News of God's grace." As believers today, this is still our highest goal & "OUR ONLY AIM," as well, as people of praise pursuing God's purpose to reach a world in need of God's Good News.
