WWe begin our new sermon series for October on LIVING LEVITICUS: WAYS OF PRAISE & PURITY. The Old Testament book of Leviticus that sits at the heart of the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible known as "The Books of Moses") often poses certain challenges to modern readers who may struggle with its apparently arcane & archaic rules & regulations. But the truth of Leviticus reveals a living legacy of precepts for pure living with a spirit of praise, joy, and dedication that also forms the heart of a healthy, hearty, growing community of souls under the stewardship of the everlasting Spirit of God.

In this first of a four-part summary of Leviticus, we'll begin our overview of the Priestly Code. Here we see how God's people are both Called & Consecrated to a pathway of praise & purity by which life realizes its truest & fullest expression of joyous purposefulness, both in the lives of individuals and also collectively as an abiding community of faith.
