Our Only Aim

SCRIPTURE TEXT: Acts 20:1-38

In Acts chapter 20, the Apostle Paul comes to the end of his third missionary journey in miraculous fashion, also making a moving farewell message to the leaders of the church he founded in Ephesus. Paul makes plain the mission statement of his life--and every disciple's call--in Acts 20:24: "My only aim is to finish the race & complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me...of testifying to the Good News of God's grace." As believers today, this is still our highest goal and Our Only Aim, as well, as people of praise pursuing God's purpose to reach a world in need of God's Good News.
