2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away. Yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
No one said being a Christian or following Christ was going to be easy. In fact, Paul said it best when he wrote in Romans 8:36, "For your sake we are being put to death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'"
Everyday we are being tested and judged by this world, non-believers are constantly testing our faith with comments like, "well aren't you a Christian, you can't retaliate if I condem you." or you "Call yourself a Christian?" with any little move we take. But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through HIm who loves us.. (Rom. 8:37)
It says in 2 Corinthians 1:9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
Take heart my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, do not be dissmayed, for if God is for us, then who is against us (Romans 8:30-32). God has commissioned us to do His will and He that is in us, is greater than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4), so next time you feel heavy laidened, over burdened or broken hearted by this world, know that though the world might be wasting away or you think it might be wasting you away, the Lord is renewing us day by day!
To God be the Glory, Honor and Praise, for He is our Tower of Refuse and Stength, He is our comforter and healer and no matter where you are at in your spiritual walk today, know that God is with you!
